My Thoughts On
Eaforwick's Silver Anniversary
OR
Lord Mayor's Market Day '99

'Overall this was a nice, laid back excursion for us. Some very wonderful things happened for those few of us that were able to attend.

My Shire (proto-incipient) now has the distinct pleasure of having...
(!)THREE(!)
...authorized fighters in it's ranks. Congratulations go out to Cameron MacGregor!!

The challenge tournament was a delight to watch. Viscount Sir Berus won the day, chosen by our new Prince not only for his skills but also for having a great time!

Court was also an unexpected joy to watch, filled with moving moments and laughter. Sir Hector of the Black Height presented a beautiful lullaby to Our Majesties young Princeling that brought many of us to verge of tears and beyond. As always some very deserving awards were presented...I don't know the individuals personally but their reputation spoke for itself that day. Congratulations to them as well!

The silent exchange of the office of the Lord Mayor was also highly amusing. I enjoyed this presentation...and send congratulations out to Allister Kirk on his new Office. (He looked SO enthused....)

During Feast the real show began. Although we sat off board..we were able to sit in the same room and observe the festivities. (Yes, we were the four nuts in the back) Impossible to describe here, there was singing and dancing, a piper...and more life than I have seen at a feast in quite some time. I wish we had been able to extend our stay and catch all of it ..alas...we did not.

As always we had the extreme pleasure of being treated to Tempus' company once again. This time came the story of the 'Silly Scottish Accent' which had most of us on the verge of tears from laughing...I have come to expect no less from this man to be sure. He truly has a wonderful gift in being able to entertain people so..I hope he knows how much it is appreciated.

A wonderful day!
